I had this happen to me. Tell me what ya'll think.
15 seconds into a Varsity Boys game a player while laying on his back is trying to kick the ball out of an opponents hands. Not once but three times. I called a technical on him for unsportslike conduct, so you can imagine how the rest of that game went. The players coach was livid, saying that kicking the ball was a violation. Let me know what you think

I think you made the correct call. There's a big difference between a player trying to deflect a pass with his foot, and someone kicking at a ball in someone's hands. How would you have felt if you had not called anything because there was no contact, and then one of the kicks hits the player and causes injury? Calling technical fouls for non-contact situations during play is exactly what you're supposed to do in a situation like this.

Good call.

I would have to see the play. However, if the player is stupid enough to try to kick 3 times. I don't think I have a problem with the T.
