Oh what a night!

Mens wreck league playoffs:

5 Ts
1 INT
1 Ejection
1 DQ

Game ended in a forfeit (3 Ts on one team) with 3 seconds to play with a 2 point differential.
Talk about earning your money!!

Please forgive my ignorance

What's the difference between an ejection and a dq?

Also, what does INT stand for?

/thanks

Ejection - 2 Ts or 1 flagrant on 1 team member
DQ - 5 total player fouls
INT - Intentional foul (can be personal or technical)

Hey, thanks!! For some reason I couldn't get by "interception", and I knew that wasn't right.

Serious Question: If you get too many games like this one, do you start to dislike officiating? At some point can become a PITA (Pain in the...)

For me personally...nope. Not saying I'd necessarily enjoy working many of these types of games, but I can't really think of anything that would make me dislike officiating.

Heck in my very first year of officiating intramural basketball, I had a game end (3 unsporting T's=game over), had a player almost chase me down before game management took care of the situation, had said player and his brother threaten to kick my *** outside after the game, which lead to me subsequently filing charges on said duo, and a police escort back home! If that doesn't get me to dislike officiating, nothing will!

Seeing how officiating is my get away from the real world, I'd have to strongly say no. Disappointments, knuckleheads, coaches & fans dont get to me... anymore. I prefer to just call OOB but when the opportunity presents itself, I whack em with service & a smile :D

No, to the contrary, you should get a reputation as someone who will take care of business and the players in that league will know to knock out the BS when they see you are working their game.
