Team A is taking ball out on their own baseline. inbounds ball towards freethrow line and is touched by A's teammate. Ball is retieved by Team A in backcourt. Is this over and back or do you play on?

There's no team control during a throw-in. So if the ball was merely touched at the FT line, but not controlled, then it's perfectly legal for Team A to retrieve the ball in the backcourt.

Right on!
I had a similar sitch. last Monday night. First half of Girls Middle School & I'm trail; A is provided a spot throw-in from their own base line. A1 throws to A2 who is near the foul line. The ball is thrown with such force that the ball goes through A2's hands and into backcourt. A2 runs into backcourt retrieves the ball and starts dribbling toward her frontcourt. The coach for B (home team) calls out, "Back Court.” as the player retrieves the ball. When I get right in front of his bench I say that was a touch not control. He replies, "Your right!"

I like this particular coach. He has a higher knowledge level of rules than most coaches I work. Furthermore, he has not overreacted with me during heated sitches, i.e. OT.
