I believe that was Billy Tubbs, coach at Oklahoma, in a game vs. Mizzou. |

Also, ND maybe 3-4 years ago had a T assessed for fans throwing coins onto the floor. Cost them a spot in the NCAA tourney.

				Fan technical

ONE TIME I called a technical on a fan who walked out on the floor to argue about a call in support of the home team. Without even acknowledging him I turned to the table and charged a T to the home team bench and explained. Someone escorted the man back to the stands and I was informed that he was 'mentally unbalanced' and he had gotten up unnoticed. To make a long story short, the T turned the momentum (3rd quarter) and the visitors, who trailed by 20, won on a buzzer beating halfcourt shot. Did I regret it? Oh yeah. The neat thing is, every parent and coach from the home team told me I did the right thing, and it's not my fault that there was a 20 point turnaround, so I felt better about it!
