It worked.

More power to 'em. I would never think of doing anything like this. If it's that bad talk to game management (which sometimes means talk to the coach).

Had a similar situation to this a while ago. No game managment present. This guy was a real, loud jerk. Commenting on every call we made. It started to get personal, and derogatroy. He crossed the line when he called me an stpuid A**hole when i made a PC control. I then blew my whistle, indicated where the ball would come in and said to the home coach loud enough for the entire gym to hear "Coach, I'm not reffing anymore until this guy shuts up!!" By this time, everyone in the gym was yelling at this clown until he got so ashamed of himself and left.

Not really my style, but it embarassed the hell out of him and it worked.

Had one tonight!

This guy is on my a$$ from the git-go! I'm ignoring him, until late in the 3rd when he makes a real stupid, smart-a$$ comment. The ball went OOB so I turned and asked, "Is that all you've got? I mean, is that really the best you can do?"

He didn't say another word all night. :D
