OT - I thought I'd seen the most amazing coincidence

I was reviewing the scores from last weekends spring league games on the facilities website and I saw some teams from the same camp program losing a bunch of games by identical scores of 30-0. I couldn't believe that was the case. It would have been the most amazing coincidence in the history of sport. Then it dawned on me. They were all forfeits and that's the score they record when it happens. Whew! I thought I was going to have to change meds.

Why 30-0...league rule?

I guess so. And, they keep track (and post on their site) points scored and points allowed season to date. Why? I have no idea.

The "0" is an obvious whack at affecting offensive output average. Would 30 be about an average team score (or a little bit higher than usual)? Maybe it affects playoffs or seedings?

30 is kind of average for the lower (4th and 5th) grades but pretty low for the higher (5th thru HSV) grades. I guess they have a modified "playoff" system the final few weeks but all teams still get the same number of games. I'm sure the teams get "seeded" for that so that must be the reason for the point allowance.
