The Thrill Of Victory, The Agony Of Defeat ...

Last time I saw a basketball game played on an aircraft carrier, the Harlem Globetrotters beat the Washington Generals, and if I recall correctly, Louis Herman "Red" Klotz was still playing for the Generals. I think that the game was broadcast on ABC's Wide World of Sports, back in the 1960's.

When I saw this thread on the front page, I was wondering if the Fed had ruled that overtime is no longer played.

Yeah, it was the early 60s and they wanted veteran officials.

This game is being televised tonight - and right now, on ESPN.

Watched the game yesterday. The teams wore uniforms with modified camo designs. It was really cool and it seemed the military on the ship really enjoyed it. That was the point.

Does it have anything to do with unfurling a "Mission Accomplished" banner?
