How do most of you claim your mileage on your taxes? I am specifically curious about those who drive from their regular job to the game and then home. How much of it do you claim? If I read IRS PUB 463 correctly, then you can claim the mileage from your work to your game and then to home, but not the mileage from home to your normal job.

I am really curious to here feedback on this.

Has anyone ever been audited as an official by the IRS?

Thanks

See my comments in the Tax Tips thread. you can't deduct the mileage home from your game. You can deduct the mileage from your regular job to your game.

Other than mileage for attending meetings and camps, I don't try. The hassle is not worth the benefit.
