As for full vs. 30 when the other team calls it, I can say that officials could be better about letting the opposing coaches know, as a general rule. They report it to the table but usually do not look at us or tell us. |
On timeouts ,I communicate clearly and loud enough
1.Who Requested 2.Tell partner mini or full (so he knows where to position himself on the court) 3.If both teams are close by I say again as they are heading for their benches. If not close by, communicate in a position the timeout, so there is no doubt all 10 players know what it is. Maybe, Coaches do not ask their players what timeout was requested or maybe they do. I do not think you can over communicate? This seems to work for me? Can I do better??? |
I never ask my players. I expect to have the official communicate it to me. Players may not know for sure. Officials have to know what type of TO they have recognized.
