That'll be interesting. A sliver of what pie? Each individual school can't afford to do it. Some can, but most won't be able to even consider it.

For those that do, they'll have to distribute it to all athletes, not just those in the revenue generating sports. Otherwise, as someone who isn't an attorney, I predict Title IX considerations will dictate who gets what.

Not that this isn't already happening under the table in the major sports, but idea of formalizing and condoning what will amount to professional collegiate athletics puts a really sour taste in my mouth. I guess it is the logical end result considering how much money is involved in collegiate athletics these days but I still hate it. If they do this, they should completely disassociate themselves from the universities and make it so that only truly amateur intercollegiate athletics are sponsored by the universities.

Frankly, I'm pretty disgusted right now. :mad:
