OT - Different Sport, New Season

Ok, now that my braket is officialy demolished, it's time to move on to a different sport.

Notice some of the equipment ideas - skates for getting up and down the court quicker, and the pads for when we can't stop...

(I also know one the refs in this picture; you don't want to argue with her when it comes to a rules question... )

Actually, it's Roller Derby. And yes, you would be surprised at the amount of rules.

Oh, I see. I was wondering what, if any, the call would be on this play. Looks like incidental contact to me.

Was there a "clear path" to the goal? ;)

I don't think it's obvious one way or the other.

I love Roller Derby. I used to watch it as a kid. Maybe someone will start a Roller Derby Forum?

I used to watch it as a kid, too. It was great. It was on Chicago television late on Saturday nights right before pro wrestling. I remember the woman's star was named Joanie Weston. I think the team from Chicago was the Pioneers.

I thought the initial play on the ball was clean. However the follow through to face may be excessive and I can understand a foul call here.

I do not think it matters, the defender was going for the bike.

Peace

Clearly we have a foul against the yellow team player. Notice both skates off the court? 5 minute major with a loss of down and the ball at the center of the loop. Come on guys, this is an easy one.

And a question to M&M, do you have to wear that type of skirt and nylons when you're officiating this?
