Throw in to begin second half
 
In two college games I've watched recently, I've noticed that at the start of the second half, the inbounder inbounded from a spot at least 3-5 feet from the division line, towards the back court. I've seen this once when there was no pressure, and once when there was.

What's the deal?

Officials being a little loose with the throwin spot....not that it makes much of a difference.
