Sure I'll get smoked for this, but I actually have a list of all the officials I came up with. I included three new to the field that only officiate in the First Four games to gain some experience. So total of 99 officials. I'll keep it to myself unless anyone really is interested though.

We could also post the NIT/CBI/CIT officials. :D |
BNR, would you mind starting a table crew thread as well, since we now have a broader audience?

Interesting: I had only "3 days" in the over/under pool as to how long it would take someone on this forum to mention Charlie. Even though I lost, I must say I'm rather proud this group has taken as long as they have.
We must've drank a lot of Tiger Blood. |

Sad state of affairs......
Ya know, isn't it a little early in the year to be having these kind of threads?
Isn't it usually in the off-season (summer) when every thread turns way OT, jokes, sad stories, bad pictures, slams, etc. Seems like it all came just a bit early this yr.........just sayin. |

Jim Burr is working the Nebraska at Wichita St game right now.
I believe that there is some NCAA regulation about working a game in the couple of days prior to working an NCAA tourney game, so by doing this NIT contest on Wednesday it indicates to us that Jim Burr won't be working tomorrow in the NCAAs. However, Friday & Sunday are possible. We'll have to see what the fallout from that St. John's/Rutgers game amounts to for him. |

Burr works NIT
Jim Burr just worked the Nebraska/Wichita St. NIT game with Rick Hartzell & Kip Kissinger.
Someone remind me, can you work an NIT game before an NCAA assignment (2 days out, if they're working Friday?) |
According to this, Friday and Sunday are possible.
|
Yes. I saw Roger Ayers working an NIT game and he will definitely be in the tournament.
Also, Earl Walton worked an NIT game. |
It al comes down to dollars and cents.

I thought there was a thread going with this info in it. I also saw where someone complained that it was their claim to fame on this board and someone took their job.
That being said, they can simply add it to the thread or whatever else, I won't be doing this all day, Thank God. |

You're so cute the way you use different aliases so no one knows you're really talking about yourself. I'm sure tomorrow we'll hear how Lamont Simpson make a great call also. ;) |

A correct no call
Quote:
I completely agree. I was watching live, and your guy IMO definitely got it right. The announcers even got on board after initially calling for the foul. |
I was listening to the radio call (very exciting, BTW), and their immediate reaction was that it was a good no-call.
|
Will we see a sighting from the any of the "Big East" Officials? I guess the night and tomorrow will answer that question. ;)
Peace |

No Ed Hightower on Sunday in Charlotte. Last year the only folks to advance to Sweet 16/Elite 8 were those who worked Saturday or Sunday of the first weekend. |
Steve Olson & Don Daily worked with Shows earlier today.
While that might be true about working the 2nd weekend, any of the 96 officials assigned to the 2nd round (round of 64) are eligible for Regionals... |
Jim Burr still alive and working.
