I want to play High School B-Ball next year and really want to improve my vertical leap. Can anyone tell me any programs to help me? Also, I was wondering if the Strength Shoes I see in Eastbay's magazine does what it says?

Ebayman,
As basketball officials we are too concerned about our vertical leap--we have enought trouble running up and down the court.
I believe that you might contact a different basketball site, possibly one managed by a pro basketball player or a college coach. Use your search engine to find sites which might help.
And remember, it is never too early to start officiating games. We can help you in that regard.
Good luck in your hunt for greater heights.

ebayman...yes, they work tremendously...I used them when I used to play ball...it strenthens your whole leg 'cause you do so many various exercises; however, it concentrates on the calves which increase your ups. Do it religiously and don't be surprised to increase your ups anywhere from 4-6", as well as speed my a tenth in the 40. Good luck!
