Wonder if he works any Harlem Globetrotter games.

Awesome!
Awesome, just plain awesome. Wonder what he's on...

Lets all be honest. EVERY association has "This Guy" maybe not AS flambouyant, but we all have the older offiical who really puts "extra effort" into his game. I know we have one, and the kids and fans love him. I love working with him b/c when he makes a crazy call all I have to say to a coach is "Hey, that's <name>" and they agree and move on.
Wouldn't want to have younger offiicals imitate the mechanics, but would love for them to have that same level of energy and enthusiasm.:D |
Out friggin standing!! Thanks for the film. great music too!!
As we get late in the Rec Season here and I move into the playoff and championship rounds I always look for something to work on! Now, I have several things. Excellent (sarc). ;) |
Let's remember that when the game is over we are to be forgotten. Never a spectical to be made of ourselves. The game is not about us.

Wow!
Is that JR?

You can see him in the lower left of the scree at 1:01 and 1:25, only ~2 second appearance in whole sequence. |
I like at the 1:00 mark how he cuts in front of a Team A player to begin a closely guarded count.:)

It's about the kids. It's not about us. We shouldn't be noticed. Think of the children. Let's be a bunch of shrinking violets out there. It's all a bunch of BS. Oh, I loved the video. I couldn't pull that off, but I was certainly laughing at it. |

The whole premise behind the best games are ones were we aren't noticed is faulty because the best games tend to be the ones were the teams play well...meaning most likely they aren't forcing our hand to call fouls. |

We are not to go in and be forgotten; often times we have to make calls that will preclude that. If you want to go in and be able to leave unnoticed and forgotten, buy a ticket. |
Lunatic.

What a jughead!
We had a guy on our assoc years ago that resembled this guy a bit physically, long, lean and bald, with some, but not near all the theatrics. On probably my first game with him back in 2-man days, after reporting a time out to table, I turned to locate him and throw in spot, only he's on far end of court shooting Kareem style skyhooks at goal! Another occasion he was standing in doors leading to lobby, sharing popcorn with some fan. Great guy, not a bad ref, and kept it fun. Would he survive today's scrutiny? Prob not.

Can't see the Video
It opens with an apologetic "This video is private. Sorry about that"...what is the trick?

Even though I am logged into my YouTube account this video won't open because it is listed as a private video. MTD, Sr. |
Weird, I had a similar notice even when I was able to view it. Now, I can't.

Google has also recently demanded that you link your YouTube account to a Google account.
Looks like they're stepping it up a notch when it comes to tracking what you do on the net. |
