Talking OT - from another thread - had to repeat

I mentioned this kind of "in passing" in another thread, but everyone I've told about it thought it was pretty funny, so I thought it deserved to be mentioned in it's own thread. OK, maybe not. But here it is.

One of my games this past Saturday was a girls 7/8 grade game. One of the teams had a play named "Bieber".

Both of my granddaughters, both of whom are 13, thought that was hysterical.

personally, i'm not afflicted with "bieber fever", but i did catch the highlights of his performance in the celebrity all-star game...kids got some game. scottie pippen rejected him...and took a lot of heat for it.

Scottie shouldn't pick on little girls.

Sure, back when most of us played, didn't we all have plays named "Mick", "Stevie Nicks", "Rod", "Dylan", "Dr. Hook", "Looking Glass", "Doobie", etc.?

We spent almost all our time working on the 5-man weave and using "the banking board." My coach was a knob.

Don't even think about comparing the two.
