An all-female crew for a men's college game:

What's next? Dogs and cats sleeping together! Iraq and U.S. co-sponsor beer and barbeque blowout!

I give them sincere congratulations, but maybe they'll take an English course "next":

"We're kind of leaking over into their realm and proving that we can do as equally a good a job as they do," Bradley, a fourth-year NAIA official, told The Tennessean.

Oh man.

"and Hutton heard one fan at a concession stand admit he didn't realize women were calling the game. "

Must have been a LOT of beer flowing at that game!!!

Is this an insult, or a compliment?

I know that I am getting old and senile, but I think that there was an all female 3-person crew that worked a SEC men's regular season game about five to ten years ago.

You'd probably have to know that particular person to know, but I'd take it as a compliment. The ref was doing a good enough job that this person didn't stop to wonder, "Who the heck is that idiot?"

This game was mentioned in my association the day after it happened. Some of the vetern guys do college level & they agreed that this was the 1st all woman crew. But then again, what do they know. There officials right!

About the grammer, I wouldn't expect much from the Tennessean.

Don't criticize someone's grammar until you learn how to spell it. BTW - don't you mean "they're"? :p
