Fumble on the in-bound

On an inbound, had a player fumble the ball just onto the court, but was able to reach and retrieve the ball without leaving his designated spot. Threw it in within 5 seconds.

NFHS: OOB violation when the thrower touches the ball again.

NCAA: Readminister the throw-in due to play ruling.

Hmmm... I'd have a TI violation.

And, to the OP and any lurkers -- make sure it's a fumble, and not a muff. On a muff, re-do the throw-in.

That is, make sure the thrower had control of the ball and then lost it. If the thrower never had control, re-do.
