shoe polish

Anyone have any good tips/suggestions on removing shoe polish from officiating shoes to make them look new again like you have just purchased them? Playoff time is fast approaching and want them to look good. Thanks for the help.

Use finger nail polish remover to take off shoe polish buildup. If you use several cotton balls you can get down to the "raw" leather. Now you can start up again and the shoes will take a better shine.
I had three (3) pair of "Spot Built" shoes and I took the polish of of each pair three times each season. They always looked great for every one of my games. I spit shined them...very tedious. No body had better looking shoes.
Spot Built shoes are no longer available (I think) and the newer brands just don't shine up as good as the ones ten or fifteen years ago. Just my opinion.

I loved my Spot Builts when I started thirty years ago. They were more of a "shoe" than a "sneaker". Took a real good shine. I started with two pair. Had the soles replaced many times until the uppers just wore out. They don't make them like that anymore.

saddle soap and a brush will really clean your shoes and it is less abrasive as fingernail polish remover. Three dollars and a hard bristle brush should do the trick...
