Here's a story from my HS school newspaper from the 1961-62 class year discussing some information about sportsmanship printed in the 1962 NFHS basketball rulebook. Next to it is a story about our school basketball team. I got this from a section of a website one of my old classmates produces for our HS class (of 1965).

The coach is there to question calls, and will if he feels it is necessary, so let's leave the objections to the qualified and competent men.

1962? Mark T. DeNucci, Sr. was a grizzled, veteran, official by then.
