Bison: I wasn't offended... just surprised I heard it as part of a pre-game talk.
I'm going to do my best every game, but stuff happens. I recognize I'm probably not going to get absolutely every call perfect, but I'm certainly not planning on telling the kids and coaches that during a pre-game meeting. Snaqs: Good luck with that. |

Exactly. Remember, it's not what you say, it's what the coach hears. And saying "we're not going to be perfect out there" gives the coach the opportunity to hear "I (the official) suck". Why give the coach that opportunity?

Not offensive. IMO, it's neither the time nor place for that. I would never dream of saying that, and I'm in a place where one could easily get away with that.
