Just think about this for a second!

We as officials hear some pretty strong comments about the way we call our game from the players, coaches, and fans.
Some fans may even say things that are very personal.. For the most part we tune them out, we have to....It comes with the territory. Some people even strive on it.....The energy that it gives us......But here is my observation.....when people are posting on the board and either disagree, are sarcastic....joke about something.....We go from these thicked skinned officials....to wet paper bags......Thoughts, comments....and I will try not to take it personal!!!!!

I really enjoy reading the postings on this board. We must, however, take all of them with a grain of salt. When an answer is based strictly on the rule book, it can be very enlightening. At times comments here are based on judgement, personal preferences, regional trends and customs, or even individual biases. These types of postings are less valuable but equally as interesting to me because it gives me an idea of how other officials in different parts of the country look at things. We are the sum of our experiences and this information is also helpful. Keep them all coming!

The "heated" discussions which come up occur because we all feel so passionately about what we are doing...nothing wrong with that...the only ones I have problems with is when the Yankees and Red Sox fans get going at each other - and that's only because I hate both teams...

Chuck, you are obviously a man with a deep understanding and
appreciation for fine literature. With that in mind, enjoy:

This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! He's expired
and gone to meet his maker! He's a stiff! Bereft of life,
he rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed him to the perch
he'd be pushing up the daisies! His metabolic processes are
now history! He's off the twig! He's kicked the bucket,
he's shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and
joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!
THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!

BTW, AK ref SE, I'm glad to see you have a sense of humor
because earlier today I almost wrote that I love Canada
because without it there would be nothing between New York
and Alaska. Not that I would ever write something like that...not me...

As long as Python is the topic (loosely):

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough water.

I fart in your general direction, your mother was a hampster and your father smelt of elderberries.
