A-1 raises to attempt a shot. Seeing the shot may be blocked by B-1, A-1 drops the ball to the floor and recovers. Travel or not?

This is a travel. Rule 4-43-3c. <li> "The pivot foot may not be lifted before the ball is released, to start a dribble."

Do you have access to rule and case books?
