Southern California, eh?

If you're willing to travel, I can recommend two great camps just across the lake from Rut you'd enjoy. You can drive and write off the mileage against your officiating earnings, you know. At the current gov't rate per mile you'd lose enough money on officiating that you won't have to pay any taxes next year, that's for sure.
Hope you find something.
And don't hesitate to go to more than one camp during the summer.

Make sure that you select a camp suited for where you are at in your officiating career. Right now, I would concentrate on getting your feet wet on 3 person, and application of rules, where you are supposed to focus, and perfecting your 2 person coverage. There are likely some camps in Southern California to suit your fancy.

I have slated myself for 3 camps this summer, my Texas D2-Junior College Camp, the SAC Camp on Oklahoma, and the Big 12 Camp in Orlando.

Have a good summer!

Check out the Coast to Coast camp that is held in Las Vegas each year. Strictly a teaching camp; I believe it's run by former NBA official Joe DeRosa, who is a great teacher.

Southern CA Camps

Rookie,
I'm new myself, and just moved from CA to the Northwest.

A friend who has been officiating games in the San Fernando Valley told me that there is a really legit camp in Santa Barbara each year. He said all levels attend and if you're serious it's a great deal. You'll pay a few hundred bucks, but it should be worth it. They mostly look for college guys, but all level learn. They have NBA officials speak and that sort of thing.

LA/SD is a huge area, so you'll have all you need close by.

Do we have personal messages on here? If so send me one and I'll connect you with a guy that attended a few camps recently in the SFV.
