Player Ejection

Player a1 is going up for a shot, player b1 runs straight into player a1 with b1's arm going through a1's arms and proceeds to throw a1 to the ground(it was obvious b1 wasn't going for the ball), as a1 hit the ground and b1 stands over a1 in an intimidating manner taunting a1(kinda like pro football players standing over the player they just tackled) player b1 was IMMEDIATELY ejected from game, a1 gets 2 free throws and team "a" receives ball.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like it could have been flagrant to me.

Also sounds like that's what they ruled. Administration was correct if so.

Handled well...could have also went Flagrant foul then Unsportsmanlike Technical for taunting. Ejection + 4 Free Throws + Ball.....but I'm just being greedy...

Well, true. What is described is correct, but more info would need to be known to be sure.

If they called a flagrant personal or technical & the throw in spot.

Hey ThatOneRef, where in Oregon are you? There's a bunch of us here from our rainy state that post. Just curious.

Eugene is the place to be! :D

and thanks for the responses guys, wasnt too sure on the exact process of fouls but i knew the player needed to be ejected without question. And to "Da Official" i thought about giving them 4 free throws but the game was a really close, really good game, and i didnt want to swing it that much in one teams favor becasue of one bad player.

Any thoughts?

Intentional shooting foul on B1. A1 shoots two.

Flagrant technical for the taunting. Team A shoots two.

;)
