From one extreme to the other

Saturday morning kids rec - first game was 7th/8th grade girls. Eighteen jump balls in the first quarter! The scorer kept track for us. Thirty-three in the game - and these kids play seven minute quarters. Third game was 8th grade boys. No jump balls in the entire game, except of course, to start the game. Nothing noteworthy in the second game.

The night before, I had two HS boys rec games and in the second one, we had zero travel calls! That's not a typo. I can't recall ever having a game at any level without a single travel call before that one.

Any of you guys ever have a game without a single call of a certain type of commonly called violation?

Perfect example of how the AP arrow has been one of the best rule changes ever.

I almost went a whole game one time without a fan or coach calling "3 seconds".

And, of course, knowing you as well as we do, there would be no need for a jump ball to start the overtime.

Most games only have one jump ball. If people follow your line of thinking, there's only one jump ball a game. What you meant is there were no held balls. ;)

I've had games where there were only one or two fouls in a half. Of course they make up for it in the next half.

33 jump balls? I don't believe it.

33 held balls? That, I believe. :p
