Contact lense- stopping play

I had the same thing the other day but the A1 player was fouled and shooting two. He lost his contact on contact. I allowed a sub to come in to shoot the freethrows as the looser of the contact went to trainer to get it put back in. In my mind it was like an injury. Not sure if that makes things any different or not. But sounds like I may have gotten that one right as well. Any thoughts?

I had the exact same thing. Girl got poked in the eye while shooting.
What was funny/remarkable was that she was a slasher, aggressive player. Here she was at the line, holding her contact in her hand, and forlornly states, "I can't see the basket" like a little 5-year old. Kinda caught me off guard.

I just hope that you guys are asking the captains who wears contacts, and are indicating said players in the scorebook.

For some reason I thought that players could fix contact issues without us making them leave the game as we would if they were injured. The only rules backing I can find for that is 5-11 exception a. Maybe I am just misremembering something that I read somewhere.
