Lane Swapping

Is there any rule about switching lane spaces? Had a game the other night where they kept swapping spaces prior to me bouncing he ball to the shooter. A would move, then B would counter move, so A would move again, then B....finally I just said "last move, this one is final."

Players upset that one team gained an advantage....

Not covered.

I make B choose the low spots, then A choose the next, then B choose the top.

The very few times this has been an issue I give the defense the final move. It's been years since I've had to deal with it.

If there is a disagreement, offense gets set in second spots, defense gets to pick first spots. My view has always been that the defense gets to select their man match-ups in the half court. Therefore, I allow them to select match-ups on the free throw line. Very, very rarely do I encounter this one....

Your situation reminds me of the case with an ambidextrous pitcher and a switch-hitter.
