I've worked 3 years of 7-year-olds, so I'm an expert.

With prep basketball, three referees definitely a crowd - The Sun News - Macon.com

I don't have time to respond or I would. Complete idiot.

I had to comment. Working on my 5th grader's writing homework gives me enough experience to say this guy's job isn't nearly hard enough for the money he makes.

It seems his two points are that going to two-person will save money, and that fewer officials call about the same number of fouls as more officials. If that's the operative deciding factors, then they should go to no officials.

Had to comment as well. His point seems to be mostly from a monetary standpoint. If a conference wants to do that, that is their prerogative, but that doesn't mean the quality of officiating won't take a hit.

It might be a total savings going from 3 to 2 person, however, do you think schools would have to pay more per person if they decided to go to two person? Hence, not as big a savings as they thought?
