There's a risk / reward tradeoff in everything we do. Different people evaluate the two sides differently.

For YOU, the risks aren't worth the rewards. For HER, they seem to be. It's her (or their) decision. When you (or your wife / girlfriend / ...) get pregnant, you can make a different decision.

Actually, no, that wasn't the question. You asked,

"My friend’s wife will be pregnant in her 8th month when our state playoffs start; he is also a referee and works with her. When, if at all would you make her stop working games?"

My wife would never officiate. It would get her hair messy.

That's an old trick. I did it with ironing. Do a horrible job. Never have to do it again. Husbands of the world, unite.

Also, I used to tell my kids that they could only help me with snowshovelling if they were good. Tom Sawyer revisited.

I've rethought this. Since the little lady will be done reffing after she has a baby, I'd let her enjoy her little hobby as long as possible before the baby is born.

Hmmm, wouldn't there be a greater chance of getting whacked from an official that's eight months pregnant?

Do you shovel snow badly, too?

I don't shovel. I use a snowblower. And yes, she comes home from work and says it's not good enough and goes out and cleans up after me.

I will have to try that with dishwashing....
btw in case there is a lurker from western MA, you should explain what a snow blower is.

Then we wouldn't be entertained by reports of "shoveling."
