26 Year Gap Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:35pm

No OT. No 1+1. No traffic.

Not often I have a game seventy miles from home and get home less than 3 hours from tip-off. No running clock, either.

No Snow Either?

I have longer turnaround times than that for games that are five miles from my house! ;)

Good for you!

The first five minutes of the game, we never changed positions. It was like the old mechanics from before the gap. And then came the first of 16 total fouls.

We had considerably more fouls, but we must've gotten the ball back into play quickly. We started at 7:30PM and got off the floor at 8:40PM. BV, game wasn't close. Long drive there through snow and snow-covered roads. I took a longer route back over more major roads.

Entertaining exchange with a coach. Player from the home team blocks a shot right into the shooter (who was by then standing out of bounds). I signal, coach decides to make a Federal case out of it. I'm thinking: It's one possession and you're up 25 points late in the third quarter. It was bad enough that I had to address him (Hey, enough of that....) as I went past as the new trail.

A minute later, the coach calmly asked me, "What happened down there?" I told him. He said, "Oh." He patted me on the side.

We started at 7. I was in my car after changing before 8:30. I should not get used to that.
