Travel or illegal dribble or play on

A1 passes with one hand the ball to A2 and A2 does not see pass and A1 realizes that A2 is not going to get ball. A1 then retrieves ball A) with one hand and continues dribble, B) with two hands and continues dribble.
A1 passes ball with two hands to A2 and A2 does not see pass and A1 retrieves ball A) with one hand and dribbles, B) with two hands and dribbles ball.

First, I'll assume (yeah, I know) that (a) A1 hasn't dribbled before this, (b) the "pass" hits the floor before A1 retrieves it and (c) A1 didn't lift the pivot foot before "passing" the ball.

IF so, then the "pass" is really a dribble. So, the Parts B (where A1 retrieves the with two hands) end the dribble. Subsequent dribbles are a violation.

The Parts A (where A1 retrieves the ball with one hand) are referee judgment. IF A1 just continued the dribble, the play is legal. If the ball came to rest in A1's hand, then that act ends the dribble and the subsequent dribble is illegal.

And if he's already used his dribble, it would be an illegal dribble when he retrieves the pass, in all cases.

Depends if he ended the dribble prior to throwing the one handed pass.

If he's already used his dribble, then his dribble has ended.

Reading is fundamental, and I failed. I blame the hydrocodone.
