Well yes a foul "could" make this a 4 pt play, but contact does not equal a foul. Judging by the movements of the shooter, there wasn't nearly enough contact to create an advantage (or disrupt his RSBQ if you prefer).

To me the video was inconclusive as to whether a foul happened or not.

Considering I still do not have the full understanding of disadvantage/advantage is why I was asking.

1. the video is inconclusive as to wether there was any contact.
2. if there was contact, it sure looks like the shooter initiates it against a perfectly vertical defender. (shooter was responsible for contact)
3. If there was contact, it seems pretty conclusive that it didn't affect his shot at all. (no advantage anyway)

I understand you are not an official but as an official we are trained to "referee the defense." The defender stands there with his hands up and I don't even think there is contact at all.

How this could possibly be a foul or even questioned to be a foul is beyond me.

I am, however, thinking of becoming an official (once I finally get my knee taken care of as I'm tired of wearing this brace).

I was asking due to seeing some of the comments on the article for clarification.

Forget the foul or travel. I love the fact that the T didn't bother to signal a three-point attempt until the ball got close.
