Has anyone had this happen?
A friend sent me links to two videos of players shattering backboard on dunks. Ironically, the two incidents happened at the same HS gym. They were quite a while apart from each other. Have you ever had this happen during a game? Do you call a T on the player? Was the game "called" at that point? Details, please.

Haven't had it happen. The only way to call a T is if we deem the player to be hanging on the rim and he's not doing so to protect himself (player underneath, high speed dunk, etc). The fact a player dunks and shatters shatters the rim isn't an automatic T (except of course dead ball, pre-game, halftime). And I'd imagine the game would be suspended. I doubt most high school facilities would have a backup basket that could be put up in a timely fashion. If this happened in the NBA, the home team is required to have back up baskets which they would set up in replacement.

This happened several years ago locally. A player who ended up playing D1, also locally, shattered a backboard during an away game. They moved the game into the school's other gym to finish it.

This happened almost 10 years ago during a summer game where a kid hung on the rim and it broke. That was the last time such a thing happen and I have not heard of many other than on this site.
