For Mark Padgett's Eyes Only ...

With all the talk about the Megamillions jackpot this week (we won $13.00 in the lab pool), and with the New Year's Three Stooges Countdown recently on AMC, I thought that this would be an interesting post.

Our Connecticut State Hero is Nathan Hale ("I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country").

Another grreat Connecticuter was Roger Sherman, the only person to sign all four great state papers of the U.S.: the Continental Association, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the Constitution.

So? Who do we select to be on our lottery tickets?

And you wonder why we still have two person games in Connecticut?

...the closest I got to those millions was someone from this side of Washington State won half of it. (Ephrata, WA...real close to CHSEAGLE)

I guess the other person was from somewhere in Idaho. (Neighbor State)

Two great things come out of the Gem State: Potatoes, and lottery tickets.

So if you win, do you get paid in BUCKS or NYUKS? :D

Hey. There's a 3 crew right there! A sign of things to come in your little corner of Connecticut?

Do you know why there's only going to be 49 contestants in this year's Miss America pageant? No one wants to be Miss I-da-ho. :D

I gave some thought to sending this to Mark Padgett as a private message, but it seemed like more fun this way. Let's see how good officials are at following directions, or are they as curious as my cat? I'm sure a moderator will be moseying along shortly and delete this thread, but c'est la vie.

It was not labeled "OT". So, it may get deleted.

Putting "OT" in the subject with "Padgett" would be redundant. :D

Surprised they didn't go with Geno Auriemma.

The ticket from Washington was sold a 2 hour drive away from me. The Idaho ticket was sold in Post Falls (just across the border from Spokane).

If I would of won (instead of the retiree), some of the money would of gone to getting new scoreboards at CHS.
