For those of you with shirts that are tailored, what should I tell him/her to do? Basically the shirt is too baggy on me at the waist, and doesn't fit "tight" because I'm a very lean person. Thanks...

Tell the tailor that the shirt is too baggy on you at the waist, and doesn't fit "tight" because you're a very lean person. Then ask that it be made better.

You're welcome. :-)

I have my tailor contour the shirt to my body, leaving a little room for movement. The problem is that after it is tailored (for me anyway) the opening at the bottom is much smaller than my shoulders and it can be difficult to put on.

Also, if you are very lean, a tailored shirt may enhance this look (waif-like), rather than the look you are hoping for. If you have a "V" shape (larger shoulders, smaller waist), you should get good results. I have been very happy with the "tailored look" of my shirts without the excess fabric blowing in the wind.

Thanks, Strpies

And to the rest of you...well, I guess I'll just have to shut up and take it like a man!!! Until, of course, my Trojans come to your neck of the woods and do some damage...
