TABLE: Thank you. Great Call. [this was a GV tournament so the clock guy & scorer were neutrals...I didn't acknowledge their comment, either.]
HIM: You're going to call a Technical for THAT?

One of my partners had sternly warned both benches earlier about the chatter. This guy's team was getting outplayed very badly. And, all of us, quite frankly, were glad to have him seated.

How far in?

Accumulation of B***S***

In my rather limited experience, when an obnoxious coach gets seat belted, I usually wish it had been done sooner.

I had one JV game a couple of weeks ago where the visiting coach started in on us from the get go. I had a word with him about chirping in the first quarter, hoping to nip it in the bud early. My partner ended up whacking one of his players on the bench for mouthing off after a foul call.

I went in and informed the coach that he had lost his coaching box due to the indirect technical foul. He, of course, proclaimed that "That is not a rule!" but then sat down. Losing his box made him a lot quieter throughout the rest of the game.

His team was doing okay in the 1st half. So, he was relatively quiet. A micromanagement type of fellow. He was macromanaged in the early 4th qtr.

Love this. I'll definitely add it to my tool box.

Agreed!

As a retired military guy and someone who still works in that environment, I'm pretty up on my acronyms. But that's a new one for me too!

2010 is now completed
 

7 games in 4 days is done. January 2011 awaits. 20 on the schedule thus far. And most games within a 45 minute drive. 2 longer trips. And a bunch are 20 minutes or less. Great on gas savings.
