UCONN women chasing new record...

AP-Indianapolis In their quest for 89 consecutive wins the UCONN womens team has refocused their efforts on beating the next record for consecutive victories. When Coach Geno was asked he replied, " I know it's only a HS record, but I think we can surpass them. People will say it isn't the same thing, but they just hate women's basketball. Look out Rockford HS!"...

No, it's the Pacific Pointe Retirement Center in King City, Oregon. They have won 372 croquet matches in a row! The ace of their team is an 82 year old women who uses a walker.

Operator: Shenanigans?

Kyle: Officer Barbrady, I wanna declare Shenanigans on this croquet player!

I once won 3,000 games of solitaire in a row. I cheated on some (a lot) of them, but you can't prove it.

That makes enough sense to be in this thread.

Just as much sense as it does to compare the womens record to the mens...

I've gone over 500 games now without calling a false multiple foul.

I doubt that. I had one my second year of high school ball; in a sophomore game in Des Moines.

Player control on white followed by a TF on white coach before the ball could be inbounded to red.

Had a few more since, usually with a player disclosing his displeasure with a foul called on him.

Agree. It sounds exotic, but it's more common than most people think.

It is MUCH easier than that. I bet you have one every year...a few times. Here are a few examples...

B3 fouls A2 (non-bonus). On the subsequent throwin (before the ball is touched inbounds), B2 fouls A4.

B3 fouls A2 (bonus or shooting foul). During rebounding for any of the FTs (before the ball is touched on the last FT), B2 fouls A4.

B3 fouls A2 (bonus or shooting foul). A2 makes the FTs. On the subsequent throwin (before the ball is touched inbounds), B2 fouls A4.

Basically, any additional foul on B that occurs before the clock restarts after the first foul on B is a false-multiple foul....even if you have FTs, throwin attempts that don't end, timeouts, etc.

When you make those calls, are you reporting "I gotta false multiple foul on 22 white"?

Nope, and you wouldn't ever say "we have a false double foul on..." either. It's just defined that way even if it's never reported verbally as such.

Well, by golly, I guess I don't have a streak after all.
