Question How many games?

Now that schools are closed until after the 1st, I won't have any more games this year. I reviewed my game log spreadsheet and found I had, what was for me, a relatively "light" year. I worked 149 games. I guess I'm getting old. In the past 10 years, I've averaged about 200 - 225 and worked 256 one year.

How about you guys? I'm talking about a calendar year from January through December.

116 from January to December. I don't do any rec ball or anything in the summer though. Most of those are JV/V doubleheaders with a few fall JH games mixed in this September/October.

I would guess somewhere around 125 counting AAU/YBOA/USSSO etc....Certainly no more than 150. 7 more to go this month. All after Christmas.

30 football

171 total games in 4 sports. Need more games.

Little over 110 in basketball, counting 3-6th grade games. Might of hit 50 baseball/softball games total last year because of weather and utter lack of coordination by the rec league director, who is the HC in my GV game tonight, in my summer ball stuff.

OMG..I will do a total of FIVE January and February as a Rookie. I have a 3 week gap between games which is a bit frustrating especially when you need to be run out onto the floor as much as possible to learn.

How do you get your games? If it's through one assignor in an association, you need to have a conversation with that person. You *do* need to work more than 5 games in 2 months. 5 games (for me) is a good week.

Are there any recreation leagues in your area that your assignor doesn't book? They aren't the greatest but you need floor time.

Back in the day, I worked whenever someone asked me. Most I had in a year was in the 150's, 153 I believe. That included from YMCA-Rec League-Church League-traveling leagues- and H.S. Nowadays, I'm in the 30-40 range. This is basketball only.
