Horn goes off on an inbound pass under basket

I am administering inbound pass under basket following a timeout. As soon as the ball is touched and clock starts the Horn sounds by mistake. Of course the player catches and shoots and scores. I whistled immediately when I heard the horn due to the defense stopped play. I waved the basket off.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
