Pink shorts - on a guy!

Friday night HS rec. Our league requires players to wear their "official" jerseys, shorts with no pockets and, of course, socks and gym shoes. One boy shows up with pink shorts (thin white stripes down the sides) and orange knee socks! And get this - he's one of the HS kids that refs little kid's games on Saturdays for us. I went over to him and asked him if there was any particular reason he decided to dress like that. He just shrugged. I reminded him of the referee dress code for the following day. He said he would be properly attired for that. As you might imagine, both the other team and some of his teammates teased him greatly. I must admit, in all my years since I started with Dr. Naismith, I have never seen anything like that before.
