If team b is charged a technical can team a have one shooter shoot one technical and another shoot the other? Please support your answer with the nfhs rule book

NCAA Rule 8 Sec 2 Art 4: Technical fouls—The free throws awarded because of any technical foul may be attempted by a player on the offended team, including an eligible substitute, who shall be designated by the head coach or captain of the offended team; however, the same player shall shoot both free throws.

There you have it.

NFHS: yes

NCAA: no

At one time the NCAA was the same way as the NFHS.

Also no in the NBE - and there's an excellent reason you cannot have two shooters on a technical there. Do you know what that reason is? ;)

The guy that enters the lane to help on the one FT would be guilty of a violation?

Actually - this post brings up an interesting issue for a rule change. Wouldn't it be fun having the rule that if a technical is called on a coach, the other team's coach would have to shoot the free throws?

Better yet - the officials designate who shoots any technicals - including picking hot moms. :)
