Sappy Post

Just wanted to wish you all well this season, I know some of you have began your season and for some it never seems to end, but I consider you all a part of my officiating family and will keep you all in my prayers throughout the season. May we all stay healthy, safe and enjoy the season!
I have had a handful of college games and Friday I begin the high school season. I can't wait! Best of luck to all of you!

A sappy post, but a nice one. As well, you have a great season.

I Can't Wait ...

First prep school game on Saturday. I'd better bone up on my shot clock rules and mechanics. Girls high school games start Wednesday. Boys start next Wednesday.

Geez...you all start late. I'm almost three weeks in to my high school schedule.

As far as the holiday season goes, two of my grandkids are staying overnight on Friday, and they're coming to my two games that night. The games are HS rec and my granddaughter Lauren, who is 13 (going on 19) is going to run the clock. She's spending Saturday afternoon shopping with my wife (what else?) and Nick (who is 11) will be coming with me to my morning games on Saturday until my daughter picks him up.

As far as that shopping goes, my wife has said that after she dies, she wants her ashes spread over Nordstrom. That way she knows our two daughters will come visit her every week. ;)

Fall sports tournament games, other than football, ended just a week ago. State football finals will be played later this week.

Will she be posting scorekeeper questions like our friendly neighborhood scorekeeper?

Hopefully not during the games, timerguy would not approve!

If we're going to get sappy, and we do as we get older. I want to thank all the great guys ( and gals ) who post here and teach the newbies. I learned a lot here and I don't post as often as I used to, but I am thankful for this site and Gary's old site.

That's all.

Illinois plays their state championship football games the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Eight classes, four games on Friday, four on Saturday.

We've been doing basketball here for the past week that I know of, however state football was this past weekend, so not all teams have really had a 1st practice yet till today.
