My wife called me at the office, and then asked me if I'd heard the new about the POTUS getting WHACKED?

My first reaction........was it a foul? :p

NBC Nightly News said it was one of the members of the Senatorial Hispanic Caucus that caused the injury.

When I heard it was an elbow, I wondered whether it was an INT. ;)

Might've been light treason, now that I think of it.

In other unrelated news, the FBI, SEC, IRS, DHS and TSA had agents raid the offices of several Senators. While, specific reasons could not be obtained, it did appear that all of the offices belonged to Senators belonging to a Caucus that contained and championed mostly Hispanic causes.
And before we sign off tonite, N. Korea is still shelling S. Korea. Thanks for watching Entertainment Tonite is next with more on the breaking story from the White House.

That might have led to an invasion of my home state of California.

As long as it doesn't force any of you guys down there to come up here, that's OK. Remember one of the most popular bumper snickers up here - "Don't Californicate Oregon". :D

The Senatorial White Guys Caucus?

It's just not dignified to have a sitting President playing pick-up basketball. They should stick to the more genteel sports like golf(Eisenhower), fishing(Bush the Elder), breaking and entering(Nixon) and that sport that Bill Clinton made so famous during his White House years....mixed hummers.

It's true, it's true....... :D

Hey - are you making fun of my cousin Monica? No joke - we actually are distantly related on my mother's side of the family.

It gets weirder - one of my nephews works in a store in downtown Portland that is right under the apartment in which Monica lives. He sees her walking around occasionally.
