timeout Coach is warned to stay in the coaches box. Is it necessary to record this warning in the scorebook?
Adam check local listings. It's not an NFHS requirement. The warning itself isn't required. However, there are some states (at least one) where it's highly recommended; virtually required.

Jurassic Referee tjones1 wrote4-47Rule 4-47 is not relevant. That rule lists the official delay-of-game warnings. It has nothing to do with a coach leaving his box. That isn't a DOG warning. Rule 10-5 is the relevant rule and that doesn't mention issuing a warning before penalizing.

Adam Scrapper1 wroteWhat is this mythical "coaches' box" of which you speak? It's what coaches call the "coaching box." Silly monkeys think it belongs to them.
Back In The Saddle It wouldn't be quite so bad if they thought of it as the coach's box, and not the coaches' box.
