Keep in mind you don't necessarily need to buy the pants you'll wear from the same place you buy your official's shirt. Lots of guys wear pants sold at department stores. You should check with some of the other officials in your area to see what's commonly worn.

I highly recommend the Ultimate Referee shirts from ump-attire.com. Performance fabric with a longer shirt tail so it stays tucked in.

I would only recommend the Sansabelt brand of pants. I would not go to a local store to buy gear unless they have the Sansabelt brand which you can sometimes find. Otherwise stick to the officiating outlet stores only.

Peace

Honig's for shirts and all other gear.

Sansabelt
Find a place that carries sansabelt in your area.

Those look like the Smitty slacks. I have heard good things about their basketball slacks; however, I would confirm that's what is in the package.

I, too, would recommend Sansabelt - great slacks!

A couple more that I've had good luck with:

Purchase Officials Supplies NorthEast
Purchase Officials Supplies
(AFIAK, these are not the same as the purchaseofficialsupplies mentioned above).

Where's the closest store to Wheaton? (send an email -- it probably belongs off list)

I bought two new shirts from officialschoice.com this year. I like the new fabric, and they are longer than in previous years. Their shipping charges raise a few peoples' hackles, but cost + shipping there is generally very competitive.

Just went thru this drill

I got a couple of shirts from OfficialsChoice because the price was good; however, don't be in a hurry. It took slightly over a month to get my shirts. Like BITS ( you really live in a PINK house!?) I like the new fabric. The sizes seem to run a little small. My XL is probably closer to a Large. Even though in almost all T-shirts I wear an XL, if I had it to do over, I'd order an XXL because these are just a bit tight. I got some Sansabelt slacks at a local clothing store and really paid thru the nose for them! I'd have been much better off ordering them online and having the length sized once I got them. I guess it would depend on what your local store charges for them. This was the only store in the Metro area that carried Sansabelt. I think Honig's has them as do a couple of other sites. They do run true to size. I don't like any beltless slacks. I prefer a belt. I just feel more secure that my pants aren't going to leave me exposed at some point. However, we seem to be hanging onto this beltless thing - not sure why. They don't look any better and are sorely out of date, but I guess we are stuck with them.

Good to know. The ones I have from a couple of years ago run large. I was considering ordering more, but in a smaller size.

I had a not so great experience with the Smitty shirts in terms of sizing. Some were a size small, others were 1.5 to 2 sizes small.

Purchase Officials did, however, make good on it and sent me more shirts to try without charging me. I ended up sending them back due to the inconsistent sizing.
