Player A6 subs in for A1 to shoot a technical free throw.

1)Can player A1 return to the game before resuming play?
2)Can player A7 sub in for A6 before resuming play?

thanks

Hey! First of all, welcome back. It's been a while since you asked for advice for your first season. How did your season go? Please let us know.

By "resuming play", I take it that you mean "the first opportunity to substitute after the clock has been properly started".

1) No, for both NF and NCAA.
2) Yes, for both NF and NCAA. But no, for the NBA.

Hi Chuck, you have either a great memory or a great command of this chat board to remember me from my last year.

to answer, my first season refereeing quickly became an addiction as I was able to work 5-6 days per week durring the season, AAU/Men's Leagues in the offseason, and then I went to several camps and the Fall IAABO meeting in Bar Harbor. The hardest part was probably dealing with the time constraints on my girl friend so for this year I set up a savings account for all my game checks for her to plan us a vacation in March with this money.

anyways I hope to become a regular on this chat board.

To be honest, I have neither. The reason I remember you is that I replied to your previous post and gave some advice (which I hope helped a little :) ). We've had several other people ask for similar advice and so I've simply cut-and-pasted my advice to you and re-posted it in other places. So I've been back to your original post several times since you've been gone.

By the way, if my advice actually sucked, would you just let me know, so I don't keep passing it along? ;)

That's a fantastic idea and I'm sure she'll appreciate it. I'm glad that you enjoyed your season so much. Glad you're back with us!

This is what my wife and I do with my (sorry, our) referee money. Last year we went to Washington to see our older son (she had not seen him in almost 2 years), and this year we spent 2 weeks in Maine and on Cape Cod. BTW, they talk funny on Cape Cod. :D
