I take it middle school plays in the fall in your state?

Have a good one! We have a "shoot out" this Saturday. It will be nice to be back on the court even if it is football season right now. :)

I'm not sure if all of Illinois does it this way, but in my area (Chicago suburbs), the girls middle schoolers start up right away as classes begin. The boys follow up in early-to-mid November.

The Illinois Elementary School Association starts their girl's season in the fall. But there are not many IESA schools in the Chicago suburbs. I even know of some play in the spring. It just depends on the area and the affiliation of the school and their athletic program.

Peace

Last night's games was brought to you by the letter R as in RUSTY.

It was great to be back on the court working 3-person mechanics again. Needed to flush all the old REC League bad habits developed over the summer.

Things to work on:

- TYP - Trust Your Partner. If the play starts in your P's area, it's their call all the way to the hoop

- Have a more patient whistle as the L

- Rotations were late and sloppy - need more eye contact with P's here

- Let the players play and the game flow. Too many "game interupters" at times

Up side:

- Mechanics and hustle were good

- Communications were pretty good (except for a few rotations)

- Got along with P's well

Great to be back. Already looking forward to next week's games! Hoorah!

It is probably best to not ask Billy if you choose anybody to not ask.

That PM feature is underutilized.
