A Legend Passes On.
 

John Wooden has passed away at the age of 99, according to news reports out of Los Angeles.

Based on the reports yesterday, this seemed like it was going to happen soon. Also many players said good bye to him while he was in the hospital. Ninety-nine years is a long time. He lived a good life and his influence on sports was unmatched.

Had the privelege of listening to him speak at a conference once upon a time. Amazing man. His Pyramid of Success still hangs in my classroom.

I really enjoyed watching the replays of games along with some interviews on ESPN Classic this weekend.

I still thought Larry Kenon and Memphis St. had a chance to win when I watched it! Kenon was one of my favorite players as a kid!

There will never be another one like him. If you have not read his books, I recommend you would do so.
