Question for "26 Year Gap"

26 Year Gap -

I read that you moved from Vermont to Florida last year.

My son (21) officiated MS/HS basketball in Florida and moved to Vermont last year, and wants to officiate up there.

He's in the Burlington area.

Do you have any suggestions or contacts up there that can get him started?

Hoping for a Flyers/Habs conference final. Cammilari was a good signing.

It was an arm's-length transaction.

None of you guys are hockey fans or you surely would have suggested he end up as a Detroit Red Wing.

Lol...growing up in Alaska we played hockey as often as we could. We even had a hockey rink on the playground at my elementary school. Best player in the school was this little kid about a year younger than me - his family had no money so he had to wear his sister's hand-me-down white figure skates. The first day he came out to play, he took a lot of crap from everyone while we were gearing up. He just kept smiling at us the whole time. Took him about 8 seconds to score the first goal, and no one ever bothered him about those skates again.

That's because "hockey" was so easily mistaken for "stepping outside."

Hmmm, hockey players here refer to basketball as "what the girls play while the men are playing hockey..." ;)
